According to latest reports, Match Group (NASDAQ:MTCH) have given Mandy Ginsberg, CEO of Match Group Americas, the larger role of Chief Executive Officer of Match Group, starting from January 1, 2018.
Reports said that Ms. Ginsberg will take over from Mr. Greg Blatt, who will remain in his role as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Match Group (NASDAQ:MTCH) through the end of the year, and will stay on as CEO of Tinder until a substitute is found.
Meanwhile IAC CEO Joey Levin will take the position as a Chairman of the Match Group Board of Directors. Mr. Blatt will serve as Vice Chairman, a non-executive position that will include his ongoing service on the Match Group and Tinder Boards, and an enduring advisory liaison to the Match Group senior executive team.
While this announcement is made IAC Chairman and Senior Executive Barry Diller said, “Greg Blatt has been a senior executive in the IAC group of companies for almost 14 years, starting as General Counsel and serving as a key player throughout and I’m confident he will go on to achieve great things wherever his interests lead him.”
Mr. Blatt said, “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished over the years: assembling an amazing team, creating a ton of financial value, and helping bring millions of people together to have fantastic experiences, meaningful relationships and loving families,” and he especially thanked Mr. Barry for all the opportunities he offered him during the time.
Furthermore Ms. Ginsberg said in a statement that she is honored to take the wheel and serve as Match Group’s next CEO. She applauded Greg as a phenomenal leader to both the team and her personally.
Moreover executive team at Match Group (MTCH), including Sharmistha Dubey, Chief Operating Officer of Tinder, set to become President of Match Group from January 1, 2018 will also join Mandy. The management team also comprise likes of Amarnath Thombre, Alex Lubot, Jared Sine, Lisa Nelson, Ayesha Gilarde and Peter Foster.
